SYMPHOSAN – A TRIED AND TESTED REMEDY (INTRODUCTION)
Symphosan consists of a mucilaginous tincture prepared from the fresh, raw Symphytum officinale, a hairy boraginaceous plant, and various other fresh plant tinctures.
Years of experience have shown that Symphosan, when taken orally, is excellent for treating inflammations of the stomach and intestinal linings. However, even more important is its external use. Applied as an ointment, it will alleviate gout and pains in the joints which manifest themselves when degenerative changes in them begin to occur and a grating noise can be noticed when flexing the joints.
It is important to adopt a strict natural diet as well, for the cure must come, in the first place, from within the body. Gratifying results can be achieved with this treatment if the patient is willing to follow it faithfully. There is no reason for arthritis sufferers to lose hope if they use Symphosan and plan a well-regulated diet. In this way, the degenerative progress of arthritis or gout can be arrested, as has been proved in long-standing cases where all other therapies had failed.

STRAINED LIGAMENTS AND SINEWS, SPRAINED ANKLES – INTRODUCTION
There is a way to alleviate the pain and restore to normal any sprains and strained ligaments in the quickest possible time. This is what you must do.
This treatment will relieve the pain after only a short time, perhaps within a few days, and it is therefore better than suffering pain and not being able to walk for 4-6 weeks or even 2-3 months.
Finally, warmth is necessary in the case of all bruises and internal injuries of ligaments and muscles. So see to it that the affected parts of the body are kept warm at all times.

THE SKIN – THE FUNCTIONS OF THE SKIN
Not everyone is aware of the fact that the skin is an organ just as vital as the kidneys, stomach and intestines, and even as essential as the liver. A person would die in a few hours without the function of his skin, and that is much quicker than if his stomach and intestines were to be taken out. One third of the blood in the human body is to be found in the capillary vessels in the skin. In an adult the skin covers an area of approximately 2 square metres (21 square feet), and it is therefore one of the largest organs of the body. One square centimetre (0.155 square inch) contains about three million cells and a number of tiny structures whose functions are essential to good health. We do not feel the cold as acutely as heat and therefore feel less pain when exposed to severe cold than to extreme heat. This is because every square centimetre of our skin contains two or three structures that register cold sensations and about six times as many that register heat. Depending on the area of the body, there are about 10-20 hairs to every square centimetre, also 12-15 sebaceous glands and 90-120 sweat glands, in accordance with the texture of the skin, whether it has fine or large pores. If all the fine capillaries were to be connected together, they would extend to about 1 km (s/e mile), and the even finer nerves would be four times as long.

REMEDIES FOR CANCER; BUTTERBUR
Although there is no such thing as a specific remedy for cancer, and probably never will be, nature makes some helpful plants available to us. These plants are able to aid and exert a prophylactic effect. The plants described below represent just a sample of those that can be useful. Additional information can be found in my book Cancer – Fate or Disease of Civilisation?
Known by the botanical name Petasites officinalis, butterbur has achieved wide recognition as a remedy. In the first place, its antispasmodic effect eases tension in the cells and reduces the patient’s susceptibility to pain. Secondly, it has an anticarcinogenic effect. No wonder that some doctors claim to have noticed fewer cases of metastases after operations when the patient had been given a good Petasites preparation before and after surgery. As butterbur is a nonpoisonous plant, it can be taken in large amounts without any danger of side effects. Some cases are known where this simple plant, in conjunction with a change of life-style on the part of the patient, has produced remarkable results.

ARTHRITIS AND GOUT – FANGO (MUD) CURES (INTRODUCTION)
I remember some particularly severe cases where the patients followed all the advice given above, yet a fango treatment in Italy was still necessary to effect a cure. Where professors and doctors at Swiss clinics have been hard pressed to find some satisfactory treatment for their patients, a fango cure in conjunction with the natural remedies suggested in the previous section has proved a superb biological treatment – the best there is. Patients who could hardly move around anymore became quite capable of taking up their normal work once again. Should a fango cure in Abano or Montegrotto in Italy become necessary, the financial sacrifice it may require will no doubt seem worthwhile if the patient can regain his health and former efficiency.
If you combine a fango cure with the other three treatments already mentioned, you will not only make possible a cure of the disease, but will also ensure that it is permanent. Take the biological remedies and ampoules for injection with you so you can use them to a limited extent. When taking the fango cure, be careful not to force or overdo things. After four or five treatments take a day off.
